Workout Notes 2008 Week 21
International travel really puts a crimp in the workout routine. I was ordered over to France to work with the team. I suppose if I worked hard, I might find a track to run on, but even if I did find a track, I probably could not get the schedule to work. One of the guys on my team swims regularly. I brought all of my swim gear, but I could not find the time to join him. As such, there is only one solution - and its why running is the best - get up at O-Dark-Thirty and go out and run. I strategically make sure to stay at the Royal Mirabeau Hotel which if you check the picture at the link, you can see is located right on the Parc du Golf. And that my friends makes for some decent running.

Friday morning I got up at 0430, drove to the airport for my 0630 flight to Amsterdam. Then the 10:30 connection to Dallas. Once I arrived, I pulled a play from early April, and I headed straight to the pool for a swim. Man, I was tired, but that worked wonders. Saturday I had a great workout at the track, turning in two sub 1:45 runs for 600 meters. Nice. Sunday, I hooked up with Mike and Tim for the first time in a long time for a 50 mile ride.

Considering everything, this was a pretty good week. That said, however, it was the first week since week 6 that was not able to get at least 6000M swim.

Monday May 19 - 60 min fairway run -

Tuesday May 20 - 16x:30 (:60 rest)
- Parc du Golf - Provence France - 7.8 miles run.

Wednesday May 21 -
61 min fairway run - Parc du Golf - Provence France - 8 miles run.

Thursday May 15 - 10x:70 (:90 rest) - Parc du Golf - 8.8 miles run.

Friday May 16 - 500WU, 3x(300, 2x150 on 3; 2x100 on 2;) 100 - 3000M Swim Lifetime Dallas.

Saturday May 17 - 2x600 SMU - 6.8 miles run
- 34.8, 69.7 (34.9), 1:44.4 (34.7)
- 34.3, 68.8 (34.5), 1:42.2 (33.4)
- PM 1000y Swim at lifetime - 914M swim

Sunday May 18 - Renner, Murphy, Sachse, Rowlett loop w/Tim and Mike. Ave 18.3, CAD 85, 2:48 min, 51.5 Miles Bike.

Total for the week:
Run - 39.4 Miles
Bike - 51.5 Miles
Swim - 3914 Meters

Weight - 163

Total for May:
Run - 117.5 Miles
Bike - 117.3 Miles
Swim - 19414 Meters
