Workout Notes 2008 Week 23
The week started with an easy ride on the lifecycle. My weight was 165 after this, which I found very surprising. Tuesday I ran my first mile. I was totally unprepared and felt gassed before I started. This turned out to be the slowest mile I have ever run. By a large margin. Not encouraging. Wednesday Mary and I swam 3000M, but I have no idea what we did. Thursday I did 8x90, and when I was done I weighed in at 159. Friday morning I could not pee. I thought my god I must have a bladder infection. Or VD! Mary was out escaping from Alcatraz, so I had to swim solo. I had a very uninspired swim, after which I weighed in at 158. EGAD! It was not VD - I was completely dehydrated. Duh. Nothing like a hard run, followed by tons of caffeine, followed by standing around on a hot soccer field, followed by a couple of beers. I can be such a lunkhead sometimes. Saturday I hit the track and did much better with my mile workouts 2x(1000-300) than I did I with the mile on Tuesday. My HR on the second set was pegged in the 190s with 196 max HR - its very possible that this is my current MAXHR! Sunday, Vic and I rode down to White Rock Lake, did two loops and came back. I was dragging on the last 7 miles, and looking back I think that Saturday workout might have contributed!

Overall a pretty weird week. Worst mile ever. Max HR. Massive Dehydration. Sheesh!

Tuesday June 3 - Lukes #4 The Mile (5:21.71 - 77.45, 2:35.10(77.10) 3:58.12(82.97), 5:21.71 (83.59)) - 5.75 miles run.

Wednesday June 4 - 200WU, 150kick, 200 pull, 4x75 on 90 last 25 hard, 100 pull, 200 swim, 4x50 on 1 hard/easy, 200 pull, 8x25 on 40, 200 swim; 4x50 on 1, hard/easy, 200 pull, 8x25 on 40, 200 pull, 250 swim - 3000 w/mary

Thursday June 5 - 8x:90 (:90) Timberglen - 9.0 miles run.

Friday June 6 -500wu; 50kick; 250 pull, 2x150 on 3; 4x100 on 2; 300 pull; 4x75 on 90; 4x100 on 2; 6x (25kick, 50 swim), 50 swim - 3000 solo

Saturday June 7 - 2x1000-300 (1000 mile pace, 100 jog, 300) - 7.75 miles running
1000 - 35.9, 73.4(37.5), 1:52.2(38.8), 2:31.8(39.6), 3:10.2(38.4)
300 - 37.6, 55.5(17.9)
1000 - 37.4, 76.3(38.9), 1:56.9(40.6), 2:36.4(39.5), 3:14.7(38.3)
300 - 38.4, 56.4(18.0)
HR Max - 196

Sunday June 8 - Two Loops WRL w/Vic (speed 16.6, CAD 80) - 67.4 miles Bike.

Total for the week:
Run - 22.5 Miles
Bike - 84.4 Miles
Swim - 6000 Meters

Weight - 158-165

Total for June:
Run - 30 Miles
Bike - 84.4 Miles
Swim - 6000 Meters

Update July 6 - Actually I did have both Wed and Fri swims logged in my outlook calendar - For some reason they are not syncronizing with the outlook server. Strange.
