Workout Notes 2008 Week 7
This was a horrible week for me personally. One of my best friends was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday with his liver and kidney's failing. David had lost his son Jordan in December. David died on Friday. It was also the first workout that I had missed since Dec 11.

Monday Feb 11 - Flagpole Hill - 3 hills plus 4x:30, 2x:60, 16x:08 - 8 miles running.

Tuesday Feb 12 - 100 WU - 5x50 (25swim, 25 kick) on 60; 250 pull, 5x50 on 60; 250 pull; 5x50 (25swim, 25 kick) on 60; 250 pull; 10x25 IM order on 40; 250 pull; 150; 2x500 - 3250 Swim

Wednesday Feb 13 - 62 Min Run, 8 miles.

Thursday Feb 14 - 3 hills plus 4x:30, 2x:60, 16x:08 - 8 miles running.

Friday Feb 15 - Nothing.

Saturday Feb 16 - 1 500WU, 3x 100 on 1:50, 3x 100on 2, 3x 100 descend on 1:50, 50 kick easy, 6x 50 on 1, 6x 50 on 1, 6x 50 descend by 3’s on 1, 50 kick easy, 600 Pull Easy 3000 Swim

Sunday Feb 17 - McKinney Bike Loop - 38.3 Miles Bike. Solo.

Run - 24.0 Miles
Bike - 38.3 Miles
Swim - 6250 Meters

I Like Vitamins
David Wayne Denton

On Feb 15 I lost my good friend David.

David was a guy who loved everyone he met. He also loved the Aggies; the US Marine Corps; Ronald Reagan; his family and he loved Vitamins.

Workout Notes 2008 Week 6
Spend Monday through Wednesday down at Headquarters in Houston. I almost missed Wednesdays work and 30 min on the bike is pretty sorry. But considering that was the bike of any kind in over two weeks, I guess we will take it. Terry killed me on the Saturday ride. It was upper 30's and my toes were frozen solid. Sunday's ride was beautiful - 70 degrees. Go figure.


Monday Feb 04 - 60 min run from the Westchase Hilton, Houston - 8 miles.

Tuesday Feb 05 - 55 min run from the Westchase Hilton - 7.3 miles

Wednesday Feb 06 - 30 min lifecycle - 10 miles.

Thursday Feb 07 - 3 hills plus 2x:30 and 1x:60 and 12x:08 - 8 miles running.

Friday Feb 08 - 200 WU, 2x50, 5x100 pull, 500, 2x50, 3x50, 3x50, 2x50, 5x100, 500, 2x50, 3x50, 3x50, 2x50, 10x50, 200 - 4000 Meter Swim.

Saturday Feb 09 - 16.4 Ave, 76 Ave CAD, 2:14 Ride Time - Freezing Cold with Terry - McKinney Airport Loop 36.7 Miles Bike.

Sunday Feb 10 - Rockwall Loop - Ave 16.7, CAD 82, 2:39 Ride Time, 44.5 mile bike with Victoria and Mike.

Swim - 4000 Meters

January Workouts
This has been a pretty good January. I took the knee to the next level by starting some plyometrics twice a week. The knee held up under that pressure. I had to spend a week in France. That pumped up the running at the expense of the bike. Its been quite a while since I had two weeks of zero miles on the bike! Compared to December, I had twice as many mile running but a third of my bike total! Also of note - I had a perfect month - 31 days of exercise. Also incredible considering the International travel.

Swim - 6200 Meters

Second Week of January
Run - 18.7 Miles
Bike - 53.7 Miles
Swim - 6000 Meters

Third Week of January

Run - 28.25 Miles
Bike - 22.3 Miles

Run - 51.9 Miles
Bike - 0 Miles
Swim - 0 Meters

Last Week of January
Run - 11.0 Miles
Bike - 0 Miles
Swim - 6000 Meters

Workout Notes 2008 Week 5
This was the last week before starting Hill Training. Given that I was heading to Houston on Monday, I did my first Hill Workout on Sunday. No bike this week, either - that makes two weeks in a row.

Monday Jan 28 - Circuits with Karl - Northwood Hills - 5.5 miles running.

Tuesday Jan 29 - 500WU, 500 pull, 400, 300pull, 250, 50, 100pull, 200, 300pull, 400 - 3000 Meter Swim

Wednesday Jan 30 - Circuits Timberglen - 5.5 miles running.

Thursday Jan 31 - 500 WU, 4x100 pull on 2 descend; 3x100 on 1:50 Descend; 2x100 pull on 1:40 descend; 100 kick; 4x50 pull on 60 descend; 4x50 on 60 descend; 3x50 pull on 55 descend; 3x50 on 55; 2x50 pull on 50; 2x50 on 50; 100 kick; 250 pull; 10x25 (fly, 2xback, 3x breast, 4x free) on 40 - 3000 Swim

Friday Feb 1 - 62 minute 8 mile run.

Saturday Feb 2 - 33 minute run 3.75 miles.

Sunday Feb 3 - Flagpole Hill - 3 hills plus 2x:30 and 1x:60 and 12x:08 - 8 Miles Running.
