Anyway, Monday, I headed to carpenter park for my first timed in intervals since December. I started off with dead legs. But I was feeling much stronger by the end of the session. I did not swim at all last week and it showed in the pool. This workout featured a lot of kicking, and I really hate kicking w/o fins! Wednesday, I did my usual 8 mile loop and it felt really strong! Thursday the shit was really hitting the fan in the office. I worked ten hours none stop, 7:00am until 5pm. No lunch, no workout, nothing. Sheesh. After work I hit the gym on the way home and knocked out my intervals. Not a great workout, but like Monday the workout got better as it progressed. Oh did I mention that the wind was blowing like a banshee? Friday's swim was actually pretty fun. Just a bunch of 100s hard and then a bunch of 50s hard. Not too bad. Saturday morning was really cold (low 30s) with 30 MPH winds - I mean it was blowing! Straight out of the west. My run took me straight into that wind for 4 of the first six miles. This was the slowest effort that I have ever recorded on that loop. And it was not because I was not trying! Sunday was supposed to start cold and maybe windy just like Saturday. I had a hard time getting motivated to get on the bike. Vic and I agreed to touch base in the morning. She called me and told me that she was up with Charlie all night - she needed a short ride and was going to go out on the mountain bike. The temp was high 30s and NO WIND!!! I decided that I would try to hook up with the RBM ride. When I left the house I was concerned that I might not be warm enough, but it turned out I was dressed perfectly. It was SPECTACULAR weather! A great ride, and a great way to end the week.

Fri Mar 27 - 500WU, 3x(3x 100 on 1:50 with 30 sec extra rest btw sets), 200 kick w/fins, 3x(6x 50 on 55 - xtra 90 secs btw sets) ,200 kick w/fins,500 Pull - 3200 Swim (165).
Saturday Mar 28 - Murphy, Plano, NStar, Breck loop. 1:39. 12 miles run.
Sunday Mar 22 - RBM Ride ave 18.4, 2:45 ride time. 51 miles bike.
