Workout Notes 2009 Week 14
Wind, Wind, Wind.

Sheesh!

Monday I headed to Carpenter park to do intervals. I was supposed to do 8x2:00, but somehow I programmed 10x2:00 into my watch. No wonder the last two sucked! It was really windy as well! Wednesday I had to take Logan to soccer practice. That meant leaving work earlier than usual. Instead of running over lunch break, I waited until we got to Campbell Green where her team practices. I knocked out a pretty strong effort, running in 8 miles in 58:30. Thursday it was back to Carpenter Park for more intervals. The wind was blowing 25MPH gusting to 30. Ridiculous. Although running the intervals with the wind was kind of fun. But recovery against the wind was horrible!

Saturday I got up early and knocked out my 12 mile run. I was hoping to have run it a bit faster.

Sunday was a day where I just could not get it together. I wanted to ride 60 miles. I planned a sunnyvale ride before I went to bed, assuming the wind would be from the south. But in the morning the wind was from the North. And it was cold. And the wind was strong. But the forecast suggested that the temps were warmer. Mike was supposed to ride, but he stood me up. So that delayed things. Vic came over and convinced me to put on pants. A good call. She wanted to do her loop but I did not. So I rode ten miles with her and the joined the RBM guys. But they did not want to do their planned 50 miler. Arrgghh. So I rode 36 with them, plus the 15 I had before I joined them, plus 10 more to get home - 60. And it was blowing hard. Like Thursday.

Enough with the wind!

Wed Apr 1 - 58 min - 8 mile run from Campbell Green.

Thur Apr 2 - 10x:70(:80) HRMax 180 8.75 Miles run. (162)

Fri Apr 3 - 500WU, 2x(2x200 on 3:30 (second rep pull); 4x100 on 1:50; 6x50 on 55; 200 kickw/fins on 40;) 100 easy - 3200 Swim (162)

Saturday Apr 4 - Murphy, Plano, NStar, Breck loop. 1:33. 12 miles run.

Sunday Apr 5 - RBM Ride Ave 15.5, 3:56 ride time. 61.3 miles bike.

Weight: 162-165

Total for the week:
Run - 37.75 Miles
Bike - 61.3 Miles
Swim - 6400 Meters

Total for Mar:
Run - 153.1 Miles
Bike - 194.5 Miles
Swim - 22400 Meters

Total for Apr:
Run - 28.75 Miles
