Workout Notes 2009 Week 31
I have been having some tenderness in right Achilles tendon. I have, of course, ignored and worked through the discomfort. But it ain't going away. Effective immediately: more stretching, ice, etc.

It has been back to being unseasonably cool in Dallas this week. I knocked out my circuits on Monday and Thursday in the afternoon with no problem. Wednesday's run was a surprise, as I did that one in the afternoon too. I stopped a bunch of times to walk. And still I came in at 60 min for 8 miles. That was very surprising.

Heading into the weekend I thought I might have a chance to race on Sunday. And in fact, I won first overall masters in the Two White Dogs Duathlon!

Monday July 27: Circuits Week 2 - Carpenter Park 5.3 Miles Run(164)

Tuesday July 28: 550, 5x50 (kick, swim, etc with fins) on 60, 250 pull, 2x150 (Pull, swim, kick w fins), 3x(8x25 on 30; 100 pull; 6x50, pull on 50, 55, 60), 50 swim, 150 kick fins - 3350 Meters Swim. (165)

Wednesday July 29: 60 min run from lifetime plano 8.0 mile run (162)

Thursday July 30: Circuits Week 2 - Carpenter Park 5.5 miles run (163)

Friday July 31: 500WU, 5x 100 swim build on 2, 5x(100 kick fins, 100 pull, 100 swim), 200 Kick fins, 250 pull, 250 swim - 3200 Meter Swim (164)

Saturday Aug 1: 40 min run Breckenridge Park. 4.5 Miles run.

Sunday Aug 2: Two White Dogs Duathlon.
2 mile warm up plus strides
2 mile run - 11:44
15K bike - 27:12 (ave 19.6, cad 84)
2 mile run - 12:59
1 mile cool down run
20 mile cool down bike (ave 17.3, cad 70, ride time 69)

Weight: 162-165

Total for the week:
Run - 31.0 Miles
Bike - 29.3 Miles
Swim - 6550 Meters

Total for July:
Run - 96.4 Miles
Bike - 365.3 Miles
Swim - 25750 Meters
