Workout Notes 2010 Week 13
Ankle Injury Week 4. Still bad. I thought that the sprain I had in August was worst than this one. Not so. This is not getting better.

Monday and Thursday I did an easy run to Carpenter Park with 6x30 strides and easy back. Monday I could hardly do the strides; Thursday was much better - but the ankle is still very sore. I am becoming concerned. Coach Denise told me to not run for one week. I will try that - and then we will see. Sheesh.

Saturday and Sunday it was windy like you would not believe. I managed to get out on the bike for both days. Good Work.

Wednesday I did not bring any shoes in my gym bag. I had planned to ride the Lifecycle at LTF - instead I came home early and did some loops in Breckinridge. Better work than LTF.

Monday March 22: 30 Min Easy Plus 6x100 Strides in Carpenter Park (Recovery 34). 4.75 miles run (165).

Tuesday March 23: LTF Plano - 500WU, 5x 100 swim build on 2, 5x(100 kick fins, 100 pull, 100 swim), 200 Kick fins, 250 pull, 250 swim - 3200 Meter Swim (166)

Wednesday March 24: Bike Intervals as Breckinridge 75 minutes (Recovery 28, 16.4 Ave), 20.2 miles Bike.

Thursday March 25: 30 Min Easy Plus 6x100 Strides in Carpenter Park (Recovery 37). 4.75 miles run (165)

Friday March 26: Ron Swim LTF Plano - 1000; 10x50 5 on 60, 5 on 50; 2x100 stroke drills; 4x400 as 400 easy, 200 steady, 200 hard, 200 hard, 100 steady, 100 easy, 150 steady, 100 hard, 150 easy; 100 pull; 6x50 - 3 on 50, 3 on 60; 100 easy - 3800M swim (165)

Saturday March 27: Solo Ride - Los Rios to Spring Creek to Coit to Meandering to LBJ and home. (Ave 15.8, Ride Time 2:22, Recovery 24) 37.6 Miles Bike.

Sunday March 28: RBM Ride - (Ave 16.7, CADS 83, 2:41 ride time, Recovery 20) 45.1 miles bike.

Workout Notes 2010 Week 12
Spring Break. Ankle Injury Week 3. Still Not good.

Monday was supposed to be an easy run. And the run was really slow. But between the 12 miler on Sunday and the easy run on Monday - the ankle got worse. Lots worse. Hurt like a mutha! Not good.

Wednesday I ran out of time to do a decent workout, but I was able to do a bunch of loops in Breckinridge. We spent Wednesday night at Great Wolf Lodge. I was able to do another easy workout on a recumbent exercise bike in their gym on Thursday morning. Friday Harold cooked up a killer workout in the pool. Lots of short fast stuff. Saturday it was back to the Gym for some lifecyle. Sunday I did a variation of Monday's run.

For spring break I put in three hardwood floors in the girls bedrooms and hung three ceiling fans. Doing the floors is really hard on the knees and for reasons that I dont fully understand, standing on a ladder really stresses a bad ankle. Ouch!

Monday March 15: 45 min easy run in the hood 4.7 Miles run (Recovery 32).

Tuesday March 16: LTF Garland - 550, 5x50 (kick, swim, etc with fins) on 60, 250 pull, 2x150 (Pull, swim, kick w fins), 3x(8x25 on 30; 100 pull; 6x50, pull on 50, 55, 60), 50 swim stroke - 3200M (167)

Wednesday March 17: 38 min bike at Breckinridge (Ave 15.5, CAD 82) 10.1 miles bike.

Thursday March 18: 40 min recumbant bike at great wolf lodge - 12 miles bike.

Friday March 19: Ron Swim LTF Plano - 3x100 - Swim, kick, IM, Pull, Swim; 8x50 as 3 right kick, 3 stroke, 3 left kick (with fins); 12x25 as 4x(hypoxic, hard, easy); 8x50 drillls with fins as 4x(25 left pull, 25 water polo, 25 right pull, 25 fist); 4x(12x25 hard, easy; 50 double back); 2x50 seal swim (12.5 scull, flip, 12.5 hard, flip, 12.5 polo, touch bottom, 12.5 fly) 3000. Saturday March 20: LTF Garland - 60 min lifecycle 23.0 miles. (164)

Sunday March 21: 49 min breckinridge, 5 miles run.

Workout Notes 2010 Week 11
Monday I tested the ankle for the first time. It was still very uncomfortable. During this run, a Bobcat ran right out in front of me - in the middle of a nice plano neighborhood. Amazing. This was the fourth Bobcat I have encountered this winter. Tuesday I had not problem swimming. Wednesday I got on the Lifecycle. Thursday I tried some running during Logan's soccer practice. Ankle still very sore.

Monday March 8: LTF Plano - 46 Min in the pouring rain. Recovery 49. 6 miles run.(168)

Tuesday March 9: LTF Plano - 500WU-2x150-pull,kick,swim on 3 w/fins, 3x100 on 1:50, 6x50 on 55, 3x100-pull,kick,swim, 3x100 pull on 1:50, 6x50 pull on 50, 3x100-kick,swim,pull, 3x100 on 1:50; 300 pull - 3200M 3200 Meters Pull(168)

Wednesday March 10: 36 min run around Pizza Hut Park (recovery 29), 4 miles run.

Thursday March 11: LTF Plano 60 min lifecycle - 23.1 miles bike (167)

Friday March 12: 600WU; 8x50 on 60; 10x200 - sets of five increasing pace; Plus some other stuff that I forgot - 4000 Swim. (167)

Saturday March 13: Ride with TZ down and around WRL. (Ave 15.7, CAD 80, Ride Time: 3:20) 52.4 miles bike.

Sunday March 14: 97 Min Run from Home, Recovery 52, 12 mile run.

Weight: 167-168

Workout Notes 2010 Week 10
Nothing this week went according to plan. Not one thing. Amazing.

Monday - I sprained my ankle at flagpole hill. Tuesday I tried to swim, but the ankle was not cooperating. Thank goodness I had the pull buoy with me. Wednesday I thought I might run, but I could not get out of the office until late, and the weather was horrible, so I did an hour on the lifecycle instead. Thursday I drove down to Flagpole hill. I was positive that my ankle was ok to run on. Well - no dice - lots of pain the minute I tried to run - so instead I drove home and did a short ride on the cannondale. Friday I went to the gym to swim, and when I got there I realized I had not brought my swim gear. Sheesh. When I got home, I rode my bike to Marissa's game. Saturday I went to the pool to swim - yes with my gear - but when I got there, they were having a swim meet! Sheesh Again! So instead I had to do a bunch of chores for Fran and when I got home I got on the bike and had a nice long 40 mile ride. And today, Sunday, I went to ride the bike mart ride. Except it was about to rain. But I went out anyway, and exactly four of us did the whole ride. In the rain. Hmmm...

Monday March 1: Flagpole Hill Week 3 - 2 hills then a sprained ankle. (4x30, 2x60, 10x12) (Max 175) - 4 miles run.

Tuesday March 2: LTF Plano - 1700 Meters Pull(170)

Wednesday March 3: LTF Plano 60 min lifecycle (recovery 31), 20.5 miles bike (168)

Thursday March 4: Breckinridge - Ave 16.2, CAD 79, 39:50 ride time - 10.7 Miles Bike

Friday March 5: Ride to Allen - Ave 16.8, CAD 81, 42:36 ride time - 11.9 miles Bike.

Saturday March 6: Rockwall loop - 39 mile bike.

Sunday March 7: Bike - (Ave 17.5, CAD 82, Ride Time 2:46,) - 48.6 Miles Bike.
