Marissa visits Centenary College

Spring Break! Took Marissa to see Sam Houston State on Monday and then Centenary on Tuesday. Solid 12 mile loop on Saturday. Not a spectacular week, but not bad either!

Running with German "Wrong way" Silva!

Started off the month with a big bike crash that screwed up my wrist making it very painful to bike and swim. Ended the month with a sinus infection. Sheesh!

Workout Notes 2012 Week 9

Crapper Barrel Ride with TZ and JM

Recovery week. Hacking and coughing and wheezing like crazy. Recovery from the dreaded sinus infection. Monday was still very much recovery mode. Tuesday's swim was solid. Wednesday I did hills - last hill in 51, not too bad. Thursday solid 8 miler and Friday a very solid swim with the crew. Saturday TZ and I rode INTO the wind to the Cracker Barrel in Sherman. That was a tough ride. Sunday, I had a really solid 12 miler.

My wrist has improved to where its not bothering me that much during swims. But it still hurts like a mutha on the bike. :-(

Workout Notes 2012 Week 8

The wheels are off the bus

Things were going along pretty well until Wednesday Afternoon. Ron and I did a really nice run, but the south wind pushed all the pollen, dust and other crap up from south texas/mexico. I did not jump on the allergy medicine, antihistamines in time. Friday night my throat was on fire. At 3am I sent TZ an email that I was out of the ODT bike ride. Sat morning Fran sent me to the doctor. Diagnosis: Sinus Infection. Sheesh.

My throat was so messed up there was no way I could do anything on Saturday. It was my first zero in ten months.
