Back in the pool
I met the gang today for my first swim in two weeks. I did not know what to expect so I got the pool early so I could test out my knee. I am not able to kick very hard and I also have some discomfort pushing off the wall. And after 250 meters my arms hurt! But I knocked out 1000 meters before everyone else arrived. Then did 500 warmup with them. We did 10x75 with decreasing rest working our way from 1:40 to 1:10 intervals. By the time we did our second rep at 1:20 I was cooked. But I did the two at 1:10 and then 250 pull easy. That's 2500 meters. Amazing!
I expected that the knee might complain later today or tonight, but as I hammer this missive out, it seems quite happy!
