Big Ed's Hurricane Ale
Back when Ike blew through all of the soccer fields were shut down. I managed to get over to the beer store for supplies, but the rest of my honey dos prevented me from firing up the kettle. So I finally got around to that today:

7.0 lbs Pale Malt Extract
2 lbs. Ground Weyermann's Carafoam Crystal Malt
6.0 - 7.0 Gallons of Water
1.5 ounces of Challenger Hops (10.1%) Boiling
0.5 ounce of Hallertau Plugs Hops (5.0%) Finishing
Wyeast 1028 London Ale Yeast

Specific Gravity: 1.055

Update Oct 18: Racked, added .5 ounce Hallertau plug. Specific Gravity: 1.021

Update Oct 25: Specific Gravity: 1.012. Added two quarts of wort and put in the bottle.

Update Nov 2: Put this batch in the fridge. The head is perfect, as is the taste - nice and tangy!
